How do I change the color of an SVG icon?

If the SVG uses currentColor or no explicit fill: set color via CSS. If it has a hard-coded fill attribute, change it in the SVG source or use CSS filter. Inline SVG gives the most control.

What size should SVG icons be?

Accepted Answer

SVGs are resolution-independent, but the viewBox defines the coordinate system. Most icon libraries use 24×24 (Material, Heroicons) or 16×16 (Feather). Our icon uses a 24×24 viewBox.
