Frequently Asked Questions

Will Excel handle 100,000 rows?
Yes. Excel supports up to 1,048,576 rows. 100K rows will load but may be slow to sort/filter on older hardware. LibreOffice Calc handles it similarly.
How long does it take to parse 100K rows programmatically?
SheetJS (JavaScript): ~1-3 seconds. openpyxl (Python): ~5-10 seconds. Apache POI (Java): ~2-5 seconds. For faster Python parsing, use xlrd for XLS or openpyxl with read_only mode.
Do you have even larger Excel files?
100K rows is our largest XLSX. For bigger datasets, our CSV files go up to 1 million rows, which you can import into Excel (though you'll hit the row limit).
